24 is this the best season ever?
Why “24” is so good.
What makes this season of 24 so unforgettable is the sharp writing, terrific suspenseful editing, the brilliant casting of side actors that provide the perfect yang to Kiefer Sutherland’s yin, and of course, above all else, the star himself.
Kiefer Sutherland, intentionally or unintentionally, brings a vulnerability, humanity and likeability to Agent Jack Bauer that is so palpable that we feel like we know him, like we can count on him. And in these truly troubled times, contrary to what the song says, maybe we really do need another hero.

This was a very good season - I liked Jack and Renee and how they played off of each other. I really wanted more for Tony. I know guys like to play bad guys, but Jack could have really used him as a friend.
