| Jeff & Matt Hardy Talk About WWE NXT, Jeff's Future Plans By Michael Bluth
Matt and Jeff Hardy posted a video online talking about WWE's new NXT show, which debuts Tuesday night on Syfy.
Matt says he thinks NXT is a cool concept with potential. He said the ECW that was on Syfy was not the real ECW, and the guys on the roster will wind up on RAW and SmackDown.
Matt said he will be coaching Justin Angel/Gabriel on NXT and he's heard he's like the "FCW Version of AJ Styles." He also commented on the controversy surrounding The Miz coaching Daniel Bryan and said that will make for some interesting television.
Up next, Jeff Hard teased what his next career move will be. He said you might need some training and show up in NXT. He might return to WWE, or he could join Hulkamania in TNA. He then said maybe he'll show up in Ring of Honor, but then he and Matt looked at each other and agreed that wasn't a great idea.

- WWE Touting Premiere of NXT; New Star Talks about Injury
It didn't take long for the WWE to praise the premiere of NXT on SyFy.
The company put out a press release stating that the show scored a 1.3 household rating for its debut on Tuesday night with 1.7 million total viewers. That is up 32% compared to the same time last year when ECW was on the air in the same timeslot.
WWE also trumpeted that the new NXT show jumped up 73% in adults 18-34 and 51% in adults 18-49. Basically, the show – featuring eight rookies that are each paired with a current WWE superstar – skews to a younger audience than the previous ECW show did.
It's a bit of a change in what is looked at as a good rating. When ECW debuted on SyFy back on June 13, 2006, it scored a 2.79. The last episode, which aired on Feb. 16, only drew a 1.1. Vince McMahon said that he thought ECW was old and tired and he wanted something new and fresh which is why he made the change to NXT. Neither WWE or SyFy had to be disappointed with the numbers ECW was doing over the past year which was around a 1.0 rating every week.
Meanwhile, Daniel Bryan was clearly the star of NXT on its first night. He was all over the program as he and his mentor The Miz went at it. The storyline plays off the true story about Bryan who – while labeled a rookie on the show – has really wrestled all over the world for a decade now under his real name Bryan Danielson. He's revered by many online wrestling fans as one of, if not, the best technical wrestler in the world. But The Miz says it takes more than that to be a WWE superstar and Bryan needs to have more charisma.
The main event of NXT saw Bryan more than hold his own in a match with World Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho which he almost won before being forced to tap out. During the middle of the match, there was a freaky spot where Jericho was outside the ring in front of the announcers desk. Bryan dove at him through the ropes but Jericho caught him and whipped him into the table.

Meanwhile, Bryan just started his own NXT-branded Twitter account where he said he is "resting and allowing his ribs to heal". He had a huge welt on his back from where he was slammed into the desk. It looks like he will be using Twitter to further his feud with The Miz as he also posted that he "saw areas I can improve" and "I need a better mentor!"Meanwhile, Bryan just started his own NXT-branded Twitter account where he said he is "resting and allowing his ribs to heal".
