Jered Weaver and Howard Kendrick are headed to the All-Star Game

Angels pitcher Jered Weaver has been named to the American League All-Star team for the second consecutive season, and he will be joined in Phoenix by teammate Howard Kendrick, who was selected as a result of player balloting and will be making his first appearance as an All-Star.

Weaver has compiled a 10-4 record so far this season, with a 1.92 ERA. He also sits at fifth in the AL with 114 strikeouts.

Heading into Sunday's Freeway Series finale with the Dodgers, Kendrick leads the Angels with a .307 average and 40 runs scored to go along with his 8 homeruns and 26 RBI's.

Mark Langston and Witt combined on a no-hitter in 1990 against Seattle. An error and a wild pitch allowed the Indians to score a run in the first inning. Santana, 28, struck out 10 batters.
