angels agree to terms with RHP Ryan Madson
The Angels today agreed to terms on a 2013 contract with free agent reliever Ryan Madson. Today's announcement was made by General Manager Jerry Dipoto.
"We are thrilled to have Ryan on board," said Dipoto. "His pedigree as a Major League reliever is unquestionable, and his experience in championship situations will be a big boost to our bullpen."
Madson, 32, signed a one-year contract with the Cincinnati Reds last January 13 but did not appear with the club during the 2012 campaign after undergoing "Tommy John" surgery April 11.
