Jeff Jarrett: "This Is Not an Actual War"

Jeff Jarett is an idiot. Every time he does anything to promote TNA he always mentions how they are not trying to beat the WWE. He claims that TNA is catering to a different audience that doesn't like WWE PG.

Ok Jeff, you are the founder after all. Too bad Hulk Hogan has a different plan. From day one all he cares about is beating the WWE. Is it a war or is it not a war?

These radio spots are doing nothing for you. Week in and week out TNA preaches about how different their product is. What's the difference.

WWE doesn't view you as competition. Why should they? Impact drew terrible ratings last week. Jeff's segment was the least watched segment on the show.

TNA doesn't have the guest host gimmick which is nice. They have enough filler segments to cancel out any damage that the guest hosts inflict though.

Yes you were the founder Jeff Jarett. Your company did so poorly that you have people in their 60s taking bumps. You should not be proud for creating this company, you've done nothing for it.

TNA has a very talented roster. Why waste time with this fool when there's not enough screen time to go around anyway?

TNA is not built to last. Hogan isn't going to wrestle every week, they need to give the viewer another reason to tune in.

It's going to be interesting to see whether RVD, Sting, or Jeff Hardy mean ratings will go up. Since we basically knew they were going to be at last week's show I don't think that they will make a difference.

There's an main event of A.J. Styles vs. Jeff Hardy for Monday's show. Why is this not being promoted? This is a PPV main event match being aired on TV with no hype.

Who's to blame? Hogan, Russo, Carter, Bischoff, and you Jeff Jarrett. You can't wrestle and you're the founder of a company that has no idea what it's doing. Nice work buddy get off TV.

(WWE) TNA iMPACT! Replay Scores Huge + WWE Superstars Rating ----From the TWNP Archive

-- Thursday night's encore presentation of TNA iMPACT! on Spike scored a 0.97 (1.0) cable rating, nearly matching the 0.98 figure the live broadcast did this past Monday night against WWE's Monday Night RAW. To draw another comparison, Monday's live show drew 1,361,000 viewers while the replay scored 1,303,000. Between both broadcasts, TNA scored a combined rating of 1.95 and 2,664,000 viewers. Thursday replay are not regularly scheduled going forward by Spike, although it is possible they can change their minds. Predator starring Jesse Ventura is set to air in TNA's former time slot next week. TNA and SpikeTV have to be very happy with the replay rating and the combined rating for the two airings of Impact being roughly a 2.0.

-- WWE Superstars did a 0.81 rating, with 965,000 viewers. The replay did 0.22 with 194,000 viewers.

Former WWE Star Says He's Headed To TNA, Hogan/Bischoff

Source(s): The Wrestling Observer
-- Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff were scouting prospective talent in California just over a week ago. We noted this here on the website.

-- Former WWE wrestler Johnny Stamboli, who wrestled as 'Rellik' ('Killer' backwards) during his previous stint in TNA, inquired about returning to the organization as part of a tag team with Chuck Palumbo, but company officials were said to not be interested. This happened about a month ago. Alongside Nunzio, Stamboli and Palumbo worked together as a tag team in World Wrestling Entertainment as "The F.B.I." — Full Blooded Italians. The partnership ended when both Stamboli and Palumbo were released from their WWE contracts on November 4, 2004.

-- Former WWE star Shawn Stasiak, 39, claimed recently on Right After Wrestling that he would likely be joining TNA soon. For what it's worth, people in TNA who would know whether he's joining or not say his name hasn't even been mentioned. The second generation wrestler has been looking to get back into wrestling lately and has been working as a chiropractor since retiring from the industry several years ago.

TNA/MMA News: Bobby Lashley updates his status with TNA, talks WWE vs. TNA

By James Caldwell, Torch assistant editor

Former TNA
wrestler
MMA fighter Bobby Lashley says he's not working with TNA right now after being "future endeavored," but he's not really that sure.

"As far as I know, I'm not working with them," Lashley told fightline.com. "At the time things started getting really built up with fighting and signing with Strikeforce and everything, it was just kind of hard doing both at the same time. We tried to work something, but I guess it didn't work. So as far as I know, I'm on the future endeavored lists (laughs)."

Lashley also softened his public stance against
WWE in the interview, saying both WWE and TNA have their own product with its merits.

"I enjoyed WWE, WWE catered to the masses and they really pushed the
entertainment aspect of it and TNA was a bunch of guys that really wanted to take it further and work hard," Lashley said. "They had some great workers over there [in TNA]. I think they're both great organizations."

Matt Morgan Speaks On WWE vs. TNA, His Gimmick, Hogan

Monday Night Mayhem radio with Matt Morgan
Hosts: Big Mosh, Blade, Todd Vincent
Recap by: Paterson from New Jersey
Audio Available at MondayNightMayhem.com.

Here are some highlights from Matt Morgan’s appearance on this week’s Monday Night Mayhem internet radio show:

His New Cocky Attitude: “As far as my cocky character it’s like this, they had no plans on making me a babyface after my series with Kurt Angle. They had no intention whatsoever, but what started to happen slowly but surely is Kurt is so good at being a heel, that people just loathe him. When he’s a heel, people hate him, and he’s the best in the world at what he does…he really is.

“That and people started to get my character. Whether it was cocky or not, they started to get it, and I’ll be the first to tell you, I’m very cocky when it comes to sports and pro wrestling is no different. When I first started in TNA, I had a babyface run for a little while with Abyss as a tag team, and that was good, but my character wasn’t really showing. I was holding back a lot of my natural persona and natural cockiness, and I think that was confusing for fans who wanted to get behind me.”

The Backstage Mood In TNA Since Hogan’s Arrival: “So far everyone who has come in has been cool. Time will tell as far as the gist of our overall locker room is. That’s something people take into concern when a lot of new people come in. When one or two come in, that’s one thing, but when five or ten come in, that could change a locker room dynamic awfully fast, but not fast enough where I could tell it to you right now whether it’s changed. Individually dealing with these people, I couldn’t deal with any better people, and I don’t know Dixie Carter would hire anybody who would rock our locker room.

“Morale is very important to her despite what fans may say. She wants us to have a good workplace to come to, and she wants us to be excited when we come there, and I don’t think that’s a hard request for people to fill. You should be happy to come work at TNA, and I think she wants people that is going to come to work with a smile on their face who actually want to be there, not people who are bitching about how they are booked, or being cancerous to our locker room, or say they are not getting paid this or that. I don’t think you are going to last long if that is your attitude in our locker room, and so far, I haven’t seen any of that.”

iMPACT! On Monday Nights & Dixie Carter: “Time will tell as far as this goes being on Monday nights. My owner, she has balls of steel as far as taking risks and chances. And I remember as a wrestling fan what I liked during the WCW/WWE battles was the chances being taken, the storyline pushing the envelope risks especially. I’m just excited ours has the belief in the wrestlers, and that’s first and foremost. We don’t have a owner that craps on us, and talks down to us, and makes us walk around on eggshells.

We have a owner that wants every single one of us to make a lot of money and be successful, because collectively, she’ll be successful because the company will be on top by that point. All I can tell fans of TNA is wait and see. Just take a wait and see approach and come along on the journey with us, because we are the first wrestling company that’s giving you an option and a choice, and not jamming things down your throat and telling you ‘This is what you like.’ I think it’s egotistical and rude, and we don’t do that.”

The attitude within TNA since the arrivals of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff: “For me personally, I love it. They came on board full bore with a positive vibe…a positive attitude, and you could sense it. When I talk to Terry or Eric, you get a vibe. You get a vibe from certain people, you get a vibe of whether they are in this to win it, or whether they’re here to make a quick paycheck and bounce. The vibe I get from both of them is they wanna come in here and make a lot of us household names to be honest, and I’m going along for the journey.

“I believe Hulk Hogan; I don’t believe he is a liar, and I believe what he says. As it pertains to myself, I have no doubt he is going to help me get to the promised land. And with Eric, I love watching when Eric is watching the actual product. I’ll watch him watch the screen and making notes and mental notes on what they could do different. So it’s pretty cool to see that he’s constantly trying to change our product to improve it, because we can’t stay the way we are now. We are a ever-evolving product, and to have someone with a vision like Eric is gonna be huge.”

His Message to WWE: “Let’s all make money…period. Step your game up, because I know we are, and then in the long run, everyone is going to make money. Any wrestler, including in the WWE, wants us to do well. Of course they want us to do well, because everyone wants another place as a option to work. What’s the first thing you hear with guys that were in the WWE and came to TNA (not the guys that came here and flamed out quick, but those guys that have been here for two to three years), what’s the first thing you hear?

The locker room dynamic is hugely different, the boss is different, and the schedule is easier. But most importantly, the guys are willing to help each other. Guys are willing to put each other over to create a new star, and that happens weekly.”

Kevin Nash Says He Is Leaving TNA in a Few Days

Just last month, Kevin Nash went on a Twitter barrage in the middle of the night and stated that he was leaving TNA when his contract expired on Oct. 12. No one was sure whether or not to believe him though since he admitted he had been drinking and tweeting.

But Nash seems to be sincere about leaving TNA and wrestling altogether in just a few days, based on what he wrote on his Twitter page Saturday.

"4 days left and I'm done, hope that you enjoyed me and are left happy. I always did my best with a beaten body. thanks and goodbye," wrote Nash is some very disjointed shorthand.

Nash was asked if he would be headed back to WWE but he quickly said no.

He added, "Time to be a husband and dad, this part of my life is over. If I'm worth nothing than I need to stay at home. Thanks TNA 4 letting me go."

If that is indeed the case, his last day with TNA would be on Tuesday, which happens to be an "Impact" taping. Nash is scheduled to team with D'Angelo Dinero and Sting in a handicap match at Sunday night's "Bound for Glory" pay-per-view against Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe.

One person that does believe him is his friend Shawn Michaels who wrote on Twitter, "Looks like my buddy is gonna b joinin me. I think he will find it 2 b great. Enjoy big Kev. U deserve it."

Nash has worked with TNA since 2004 but has been a controversial figure with some questioning his motives at various times. He has dealt with bad knees for the bulk of his career and has had multiple surgeries.

Now at the age of 51, he might be ready to hang it up. But this is the wrestling business and no one really believes in retirements anymore.

Exclusive: Mick Foley Countdown To Lockdown Free Giveaway
By Keelan Balderson • October 17, 2010

For those that haven’t checked out the latest Suplah, there’s still time to enter the Mick Foley Countdown to Lockdown competition.

To be in with a chance of getting a free copy of the book, simply answer the following question:

Mick Foley is a 3-time main event singles title winner. Two WWF titles, and one TNA Heavyweight title. But who were his opponents when he won those belts? We’re looking for 3 names.

Note: Only US Citizens eligible for entry.

Mick Foley is back and Countdown to Lockdown tells us the story of his spectacular return, his last days with the WWE, as well as a blow-by-blow account of the five weeks leading up to the day when Mick faced off against one of his greatest opponents – ‘The Icon’ Sting. As one of the most bizarre and fearless stars of wrestling in recent times, Mick is known for taking extraordinary risks to remain at the peak of his game. Countdown to Lockdown is a no-holds-barred, behind the scenes account of his mental and physical preparation for the TNA Lockdown – in many ways, the most important wrestling match of his career. This is put in context with Foley’s memories, thoughts and opinions of WWE as well as life outside the ring from the Benoit deaths and the ‘Royal Rumble’ to Sierra Leone and his meeting with former President Bill Clinton. Full of action from inside the ring, the drama of his last days with the WWE, Foley’s trademark humour as well as an industry insider’s view of professional wrestling today, Foley fans will not be disappointed.

The 2011 Future Of TNA?, Original IMPACT! Plans, & More News
By Ryan Clark | October 17, 2010

North Korea has released an Antonio Inoki postage stamp. Inoki is very well known in the country since Rikidozan is a national hero and Inoki was promoted as his protege in addition to his 1995 match with Ric Flair that drew the largest crowd ever for a pro wrestling
event drawing 170,000 fans.

THonline.com is featuring an interview with TNA's Jeff Jarrett where he talks about the touring of the company and where things are headed in 2011 and TNA vs. WWE. "We're taking the company into the year 2011 and beyond and intend to become the most powerful wrestling organization in the world. When WWE bought WCW in 2001, it left a huge void in the market place. Without a No. 2, there can't be a No. 1. Quite frankly, our roster is better than their roster. They're a publicly traded company that has 50 years of history. From a business standpoint, they've got such a head start. But we're finding a niche in our own way."

TNA's originally scheduled iMPACT! TV tapings on November 22 and 23 were moved up a week to November 15 and 16. The main belief is that RAW is being taped in Orlando on November 22 and they were nervous that it would lead to a bad live crowd. As a result, they will be holding two weeks of TV tapings on November 8 and 9 after the Turning Point PPV and will return the following week for another two week set of tapings before Final Resolution. They also designed the December schedule to give people a ton of time off as they will hold the Final Resolution PPV on December 5, hold TV tapings on December 6 and 7, take a day off and then return on December 9 and 10. This means after December 10, they won't tape anything again until January 2011.

Wrestling: Was the WWE Crazy To Release Mickie James and Can TNA Capitalize?
By;Jade Jones(Contributor) on October 21, 2010

Mickie James, one of the most popular Divas in the WWE since Trish Stratus, is now in TNA.

When Mickie entered the WWE, she played a psychotic crazed fan of Trish Stratus—obsessed, unpredictable and fierce. Not since Victoria's psycho days has one Diva capitalized on a character so much as Mickie James had. Even after turning face, Mickie's popularity grew and each time she stepped out, people cheered and rose out of their seats. What was so enduring about her?

I believe Mickie had a quality that is hard to come by: people "liked" her. Much like Trish, Mickie came out to huge adoration and seemingly played an underdog so well. So what happened to her career in the WWE?

Mickie was the main Diva on Raw and successfully defeated her foes in various matches, yet still obtained a decent credibility by not winning every single match she was in. Often, she was defeated but it never stopped her passion to go back into the ring and take on her opponents again and again.

Mickie was a fighting champion, always striving to prove why she earned the Women's Championship and why she kept it proudly around her waist.

Mickie was shrouded in Internet rumors of bad backstage behavior and too much partying on an European tour. Much to some fans' disbelief, the WWE targeted the rumors as the reason why Mickie was moved from the live A-Show of Raw to the taped Smackdown.

One rumor even stated that John Cena had become annoyed by Mickie's obsession with their relationship, and he asked to have her moved to the other show. While many fans might believe this, I for one do not.

When moved to Smackdown, Mickie became the subject of ridicule by bratty duo LayCool, made up of Michelle McCool and Layla. The women made fun of Mickie's weight issues, which was also rumored to be the subject of some contention between Mickie and the WWE.

I personally thought there was nothing wrong with Mickie's weight, but who am I to judge? LayCool tormented Mickie to the brink of having her walk out of the ring crying and smashed cake in her face.

LayCool even stooped to childish levels by making a video of a cowgirl McCool singing "Old MacDonald" to insult Mickie and Layla, who dressed up in a fat suit to portray Mickie that included a pig nose.

My question to a lot of people, some of whom may not be fans of either Diva, is this: was this an attempt by McCool to crush the single woman who had more fan admiration than her? Was it really a squashing of Mickie's character?

Regardless of the very small retribution Mickie James got by defeating McCool in a championship match, McCool gained the belt back some short few weeks later. Not much after that, Mickie James was released from her contract.

I found that the first match between McCool and James, in which Mickie won, was a short relief to take the extreme heat off of McCool—a tiny piece of retribution before the biggest release of the year. Mickie's release even shadowed Maria Kanellis and Katie Lea. Even now, people are still talking about it.

With Mickie James gone, Melina turned to backstage fodder, and with Beth Phoenix out with an injury, who else is there for McCool to compete against?

Natalya seems to be hanging in there; however, I don't think this is much of a feud as LayCool is continuing their childish games of dress up and name calling. I personally believe it's just a filler story until Beth comes back. Regardless of that, McCool seems to have absolutely no competition left. Funny how that is.

Mickie James concentrated on her country music career while rumors of her going to TNA swirled around the Internet. Finally, Mickie was signed and yet another ex-WWE star jumped ship to TNA.

While the Knockout division of TNA leaves something to be desired, would it be impossible for Mickie to go down in the history books as a Triple Crown Winner by becoming the Knockouts Champion?

I think it may happen before the year is out. They seem to be building her character around her country music and that's okay. However, the episode of Impact tonight sees Mickie riding a mechanical bull.

To me, this is something the WWE would be doing, or rather, have done. Remember that guest host who saw Eve and the Bella Twins riding a mechanical bull?

It's been done before. So with that little replay, do you think TNA can capitalize on Mickie's huge fanbase and great popularity? If they play their cards right, I think they can.

I think releasing Mickie James was one of the biggest mistakes the WWE has ever made.

TNA Impact featuring the in-ring debut of Mickie James
By Jason Powell / Oct 21, 2010 - 09:12 AM

Tonight's TNA Impact television show hype is focussed on former WWE Women's Champion Mickie James's first match with the company. She is advertised for a match against Sarita. They are also advertising "the return of the Ultimate X match to Impact," and news on the Turning Point pay-per-view. I will be covering the show live tonight beginning at 8:00 p.m. CT.

TNA in Grand Rapids, Mich. (correspondents needed), Butch Miller, Horace Hogan

TNA is in Grand Rapids, Michigan tonight with the following advertised lineup: Mr. Anderson vs. A.J. Styles, The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Generation Me for the TNA Tag Titles, Madison Rayne vs. Angelina Love (w/Velvet Sky), plus appearances by Jeff Jarrett, Abyss, Samoa Joe, Jay Lethal, Rhino, and Eric Young. We are looking for correspondents for tonight's show. If you are attending and can help us with a report, contact me at dotnetjason@gmail.com.

It will be a long week for the TNA crew working the house shows, as the tour runs through Sunday and then they head to Florida for a couple days of TNA Impact tapings.

Butch Miller of Bushwhackers and Sheepherders fame turns 66 today. He was born on Oct. 21, 1944. He has retired from working matches, but is reportedly still involved as an on-air commissioner for a promotion in New Zealand.

Horace Hogan is celebrating his 45th birthday. He was born on Oct. 21, 1965. The nephew of Hulk Hogan worked regularly for WCW, but hasn't done much wrestling over the last several years.

TNA Update - Team 3D Sign New TNA Contracts
Source: TWNP-Wrestling News

Source: The Wrestling Observer

Team 3D signed new multi-year deals with TNA Wrestling last week. They were expected to remain with the company, but there was communication between WWE & Team 3D about them coming in to revitalize their tag team division.

There was also an interest in WWE signing Brother Ray as a producer down the line. There was also talk about how WWE could use Team 3D's wrestling academy in Florida to help train some of the newer developmental talents.

In the end, they both wound up re-signing with TNA. The travel schedule in TNA also played a role in their decision to sign with TNA.

For more great exclusive TNA coverage like what you just read above including how much money Team 3D is being paid by TNA Wrestling, visit our TNA website only at
